PPG College of Nursing was established in the year 1998 and has now developed into a reputed and renowned institution of higher education. Dr.L.P.Thangavelu is the chairman, Mrs.Shanthi Thangavelu is the correspondent and Mr. Akshay Thangavel is the Vice Chairman of the institution.

PPG College of Nursing is affiliated to the Tamilnadu Dr.MGR Medical University, Chennai. It is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), and the Tamilnadu Nurses & Midwives Council (TNNMC). Quality enhancement is an inherent aspect of the institution as evidenced by the ISO 9001:2008 certification.

PPG College of Nursing is situated on a beautiful and serene campus. Over a period of nearly 30 years, it has grown into a full-fledged post graduate-research institution with well-equipped laboratories, excellent library and a well-maintained playground. The college offers Diploma, UG and PG degrees in Nursing.

Initially Diploma and B.Sc. Nursing programme was formulated in 1998 to train young women as professional nurses for meeting the health needs of the country.
